Who Are These Awesome Kids?!

My observation was completed Friday morning. I am still in shock. My students, who usually have difficulty stopping conversation, were so awesome. Before my supervisor left he said a few words to my class, telling them how impressed he was at how well behaved they were. I wanted to thank my class as soon as the supervisor left, but I was teary and was afraid I would start sobbing in gratitude for their awesomeness! Everyone listened attentively, they were all engaged, they completed their project and quietly looked at books when they were finished. It is truly a day to remember. : ) Snack and apple juice for all! lol

Observation Postponed

I am new to blogging...its funny how I have trouble getting to the "new post" area every time! But I love a challenge...that is probably why I am still teaching! My certification supervisor was scheduled to come observe me today, so I spent 3 hours getting my room ready yesterday after work! And then it rained...and rained...and rained...and he wasn't able to make it! But I had an amazing morning with my students. I have tried reading groups in the classroom and every time the students that are not in the group get so loud that it is hard to make it work. Today I felt like I won the lottery! I took each group to my peace center and read with each group while the rest of the class worked quietly. It's true! It happened! This is an unbelievable milestone. Each group even performed a play for the rest of the class! It was great. : )
